Contribute to our blog
At the A project, we like to encourage writings on matters that are important to us on bodily autonomy and politics, reproductive justice, experiences with gendered/racial/class injustices, and many of the causes we aspire to build a movement on. If you like writing and would love to contribute, please fill out the following form and we will email you back shortly.
If you want to take a look at the content we have published already, check out our blog.

Guidelines:
- We do not follow a strict word count. However, it is preferrable that submissions range between 500 and 1200 words long.
- We accept writing in both Arabic and English.
- We welcome conversational texts, literature, poetry, opinion pieces, investigative pieces, informative pieces, illustrations and comics, and reviews. We also accept Arabic translations of political and informative texts in other languages, in which the translation would be adding importance to Arabic knowledge. School, university and academic papers are not usually accepted (we encourage you to look for other academic journals to publish instead).
- We do not expect expert voices and emphasize the importance of the voices of everyday folks' and our experience with discriminatory systems.
- We do not expect everyone to have similar political views as us in the A project, but we draw a line at submissions that include: misogyny, racism, classism, xenophobia, anti-migrant and anti-refugee hate, transphobia, homophobia, sectarian and state-aligned politics, and other forms of hate speech and discrimination. You can check our position papers to learn more about our politics.
- Every now and then we post a specific theme for contributions, however, non-related submissions are welcome at all times. Topics we are interested in seeing writings and art about include: sexuality, gender, sexual and reproductive health, reproductive justice, intimate partner violence, relationships, access to healthcare, motherhood/fatherhood, biological and alternative families, community organization and movement building, mental health, bodily autonomy, pleasure, access to justice, and sexual violence.
- We believe in collaborative writing. If you need help crafting your outline or piece, we can do that together.
- Authors may choose to be anonymous.
- Contributions are not compensated financially for the time being unfortunately, except for commissioned illustrations and translations. If you are looking for paid writing gigs, we can direct you to other websites and platforms that would.
