Join our 12th Sexuality Hotline Counselors' Training!

Deadline

The A Project invites you to apply for an intensive six-day training on Gender, Sexuality, and Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), for a chance to join our team of volunteer counselors who accompany callers on our Sexuality Hotline.

Becoming part of our team of volunteer counselors also means joining a community of committed members and contributing to research, writing, and outreach activities at The A Project.

We have all needed someone to listen, especially when a doctor dismissed our concerns, when our families misunderstood us, or when we were judged for how we live, love, or inhabit our bodies.

The Sexuality Hotline was created as a response to the gatekeeping, misinformation, and erasure that shape access to sexual and reproductive health. It exists because women and gender-diverse people deserve spaces where their experiences are taken seriously, without shame, without policing, and without dismissal.

Being a counselor on the Sexuality Hotline means holding that space with intention. It means talking openly about sexual pleasure, bodily autonomy, reproductive health, and non-normativity. It also means accompanying callers through difficult conversations about violence, rejection, stigma, or gender discomfort with political clarity and radical kindness.

We are looking for volunteers who want to think critically, learn collectively, and practice community-based care. As a team, we continuously deepen our knowledge and interrogate dominant discourses so that we can respond to our callers with nuance, accountability, and care.

If this speaks to you, apply to our 12th Sexuality Hotline Counselors Training.
