Are you the Grants, Finance, and M&E Manager we are looking for?

The Grants, Finance, and M&E Manager is a full-time position, providing core technical and administrative leadership and sustainability in the areas of financial management and grants management for the program. This position plays a critical role in sustaining as well as monitoring and evaluating the progress and impact of The A Project’s programs throughout the year. The position holder will participate in grants proposal writing, development, and reporting. They will also provide guidance and practical support to the project coordinators on all matters related to accounts payable, cost allocation, monthly reporting, payroll, budget preparation, grants management contract and subcontract management, and compliance.

We are especially interested in someone who has the above-mentioned skills and experience, as well as an interest in working on gender justice and reproductive and sexual health rights. For the grant proposal writing segment of this job opportunity, the applicant should have strong writing skills and values work on advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights. Experience in grants management and monitoring and evaluation is more of an interest to us than the finance segment, as the finance segment is mostly data entry to be handed to an accountant – and that aspect can be learned if the applicant has strong numeracy and organization skills.

Duties:

  • Prepare funding proposals and complete reports to already-existing donors
  • Manage donor contracts as required, tracking the progress on outputs of contracts, providing timely updates and highlighting any issues
  • Identify potential donors and opportune calls for funding
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and month end adjustments
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure payments are properly authorized
  • Ensure payments made are allocated to budgeted spending
  • Update internal systems with financial data and back up data both in filing and digitally
  • Develop and strengthen M&E strategy for all activities and operations to measure the effectiveness of different programs in meeting our objectives and identifying possible gaps
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative reports of programs and activities
  • Prepare monthly financial and M&E reports and present them to the team
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Maintain an updated procurement log sheet
  • Devise safety and security procedures for the organization’s finances and accounts
  • Obtain quotations from vendors and manage follow-ups of infrequent big payments
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in humanities, social sciences, NGO management or related fields
  • Fluent English speaker, with very strong written English
  • Fluent Arabic speaker
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Access and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team
  • Ability to coordinate with a large membership base for M&E purposes
  • Demonstrated experience in grants management or program development
  • Demonstrated experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • A self-starter, able to organize and manage their own time.

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT:

3 months, renewable for a year based on performance

SALARY RANGE:

1200 to 1500 (USD)
